Students must complete the online pre-learning modules before attending the proficiency lab. The modules are an interactive online learning system that allows students to complete course prerequisites at their own pace and preferred location.
Users can access content from any computer, tablet, or any other device with an Internet connection.
Over one or two days (depending on the course), students apply lessons from the online pre-learning modules to experiential training exercises in a clinical environment, developing confidence and proficiency in using the latest ultrasound equipment on live models to perform point-of-care diagnoses. The flipped classroom model ensures our students get the repetitions they need to attain true POCUS proficiency.
The following topics are covered as part of our Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course:
- Basic Cardiac & Pulmonary
- Venous Access
- Gastric Content
Not all topics are covered in every course. Check specific course dates for topics offered.
